“You are asked to present a range of promotional concept production pieces including posters, and slip case designs.” This is a line from my first digital graphics assignment brief. Planning included a mood board to portray the theme.

Aiming to convey the theme of the game.

The logo board below are my final ideas for potential logos for the game. Because I chose to go for a dark blue colour scheme, I chose to look at lightening as part of the logo to add more atmosphere.

Potential logos for the poster and game cover.

To create the poster, I altered the levels and contrast of the layers in Photoshop and also changed the opacity of some layers. I included the logo over the moon and added a slogan. The lightening over the wolf was following the theme from the logo but I also chose it because I liked how the brush followed the shape of the wolf’s head. To get the brush for Photoshop, I downloaded it from http://www.brusheezy.com/

The first thing we did for digital graphics was to create a poster using silhouettes so we got to use a green screen to take photos and then used Photoshop to turn the images into silhouettes. This involved removing the green background of the image, converting the image to ‘Gray scale’ and altering the ‘Levels’.

Step 1: These are some of the images and how they look after being turned into silhouettes.

Before deciding on a logo, I had to create different examples that worked well together. To do this, I decided on a title and stuck with this during the designs. I also chose the main colour scheme for the text itself as well as a font type.

This board shows the potential logos for the poster.

Using different images, I experimented in Photoshop to create the poster and placed my chosen logo and my silhouettes into the design. Though after my first design, I did alter it to suit the style of the logo.
